Simon

Simon is a browser memory game in a neon, musical version. Simon plays a sequence of colored pads and you repeat it in exactly the same order — but here the timing counts too: every pad is a note in the song, so repeating it accurately in rhythm means you play the melody yourself. The sequence grows every round, two extra pads unlock at round 5, and from round 7 pads start vanishing from the screen — the note still sounds, but the light is gone. You get three lives and 5 famous songs to choose from. Completely free, in the browser, no download and no signup.

Controls

Tap the pads. On mobile use your finger, on desktop click with the mouse or use keys 1 to 6.

How to play Simon

  1. Pick a song from the menu — each song tunes the pads to a different scale.
  2. Simon plays a sequence of pads. Watch and listen all the way through.
  3. Repeat the sequence in exactly the same order — tap the pads or use keys 1 to 6.
  4. Timing counts too: repeating it in the rhythm Simon played is worth more points.
  5. Each round adds one step to the sequence, and round 5 unlocks two extra pads.
  6. From round 7 pads start vanishing — the note sounds but the pad stays dark.
  7. A wrong pad costs a life and the sequence replays. Out of lives, the run ends.

Tips for a high score

  • Don't memorize colors alone — every pad is a note, and the melody remembers for you.
  • When a pad vanishes, trust the sound: the pitch of the note tells you which pad it was.
  • Repeating the sequence at a steady tempo beats rushing — timing accuracy is worth more points.
