Every three seconds you're thrown a brand-new task with a single instruction on screen — and figuring out what to do is part of the challenge. As you progress the pace speeds up and the tasks get more confusing. You've got three hearts, and every failure costs you one. Your score is the number of rounds you survived. Completely free, in your browser, no download and no signup.
Controls
Changes every round. Most tasks need a tap or click at the right moment — the on-screen instruction tells you exactly what to do.
How to play Split Second!!
- Each round shows a short instruction in the center of the screen — read it fast.
- You have about three seconds to complete the task before the round ends.
- Completing a task moves you to the next round; failing costs one heart.
- You start with three hearts — when they run out, the run ends.
- As you progress, rounds get shorter and tasks get more confusing.
- Your final score is the number of rounds you survived.
Tips for a high score
- Read the instruction before touching the screen — half of all failures are a reflex tap too early.
- Some tasks require you to do nothing at all. If the instruction says wait, don't tap.
- After a mistake, don't try to rush and make up for it; the next round starts clean.
Leaderboard
Every score is sent automatically to the daily leaderboard for Split Second!!. The board resets every day at midnight, so every day starts fresh.
